In his contentious practice, James has experience in dealing with a variety of different claims from small claims all the way through to multi-million pound cross-jurisdictional disputes.
James has experience in commercial litigation, consumer credit litigation, contentious probate disputes and intellectual property litigation. James understands the stress and cost involved in litigation and, where possible, will always try and identify scope for early settlement.
James also undertakes non-contentious work, working closely with businesses to draft documentation such as terms and conditions, sale contracts and service contracts. James also has experience in dealing with business sales including asset sales and share sales. James also has experience in assisting businesses to comply with strict regulatory frameworks, an example being assisting a pay day loan lender on its compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and the Financial Conduct Authority guidance.
